There are many factors that can make traveling long distances less than enjoyable, from the dry airplane air to cramped legroom. While staying comfortable during a flight may be challenging, it’s not impossible. Make the most out of your travel time by considering the suggestions below, crafted to help you feel your best on the plane, and even after you’ve reached your destination. Choose Your Ideal Seat Booking your flight in advance may give you a higher chance of being able to choose your ideal seat. If you have longer legs, try and opt for an aisle seat in order to maximize your legroom. If you’re planning on sleeping throughout your flight, try and opt for a window seat so you have something to lean against while you rest, and won’t be disturbed by passengers trying to get in and out of row. Dress for Comfort Before heading to the airport it’s important to consider your choice of clothing. For a long flight, it's beneficial to dress in layers to prepare for temperature changes that can occur on the plane. Wear stretchy comfortable clothing such as a pair of yoga pants or joggers, and a loose fitting T-shirt. Always bring a cozy sweater that’s easy to take on and off just in case the temperature on the plane is fluctuating

VACATION IDEAS

Nothing in the world beats a family beach vacation, whether it's at a deluxe resort, or a simple
campground on the beach.

Below, are some ways you might do your vacation:
derek@travelpoint.ca

Caribbean Beach Vacation
1.  Families flock to Jamaica and the Dominican Republic for their all inclusives with
watersports and kids clubs.
2.  At some resorts the kids programs are outstanding, with separate leaders and activities
for many different age groups.
3.  Pool complexes - some resorts have waterparks.
4.  The prices can be high, although they will drop from May to December.  Hurricane season is
in those months as well, although most resorts offer weather guarantees.

Mexico Beach Vacation
Even though tourists zip down to Mexico and do what they want at a condo or small hotel, beach
vacations at all inclusive resorts are still the best way to go for families.
The Riviera Maya, an hour south of Cancun, has the second largest barrier reef in the world.  It
also has many activities for families to explore
outside of the resort.  You can rent a car, hire a taxi, or even take a public bus.

Hawaii Beach Vacation
When you go to Hawaii, you shouldn't expect to find all inclusive resorts in the Aloha state.
Hawaii is known for lush luxury resorts, such as the Grand Wailea on Maui, or the properties on
the Big Island's Kohala Coast.

To find more affordable options in Hawaii, the Waikiki Beach area is breathtaking, fun for the
entire family, and offers several different lodging options.

The report also found that cruising sustained nearly 1,177,000 jobs equaling $50.24 billion in wages and salaries and a total worldwide output of $150 billion in 2018. "The industry’s economic impact is a big part of the story, especially as it relates to our passengers' contributions to local economies and the diverse workforce onboard our ships," CLIA president and CEO, Kelly Craighead said in a statement accompanying Thursday's report. "We recognize that with growth comes increased responsibility to raise the bar in all aspects of what we do to ensure cruising remains a force for good and the best way to experience the world." The report also highlights the industry's efforts to ensure it operates responsibly, noting the cruise sector's $22 billion investment in the development of new energy-efficient technologies, partnerships with local governments and its commitment to reducing carbon emissions by 40 percent compared to 2008 by the year 2030.
